Basic Security Training (BST) is the Province of British Columbia's mandatory training course required for individuals looking to work as a Security Professional in BC.
Our in-class BST course includes digital presentations, practical scenarios, and first hand experiences, ensuring students are fully prepared to work as a Security Professional.
To participate in the BST course students must be 18 years of age or older, and to obtain a BC Security Worker's Licence, applicants must be 19 years of age or older. To enroll in the BST course, verbal and written English proficiency must be demonstrated.

The goal of Advanced Security (AST) is to train participants to safely, effectively, and lawfully restraint individuals who may have contravened a law or policy and whose behaviour poses a risk to themselves or others. AST is not required to obtain a Security Worker's Licence - it is an optional course to enhance your skills.
AST is a physically demanding course involving hands-on control techniques and includes a considerable amount of mat work. Footprints requires individuals participating in the course to be in good health and be physically fit to complete the course.
