Basic Security Training (BST) is the Province of British Columbia's mandatory training course required for individuals looking to work as a Security Professional in BC.
Advanced Security Training (AST) is the Province of British Columbia's mandatory training course for individuals working in Loss Prevention or Protection Officer roles in BC. AST courses are 3 days, and re-certification courses are 1 day. Currently Footprints Security offers courses in Duncan and Nanaimo.
Our in-class BST course includes digital presentations, practical scenarios, and first hand experiences, ensuring students are fully prepared to work as a Security Professional.
To participate in the BST course students must be 18 years of age or older, and to obtain a BC Security Worker's Licence, applicants must be 19 years of age or older. To enroll in the BST course, verbal and written English proficiency must be demonstrated.

A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to save your seat in the course. The balance of the course fee is due a minimum of two business days before the course start date.

Government issued photo ID is required to participate in the exam.
